Apptoto provides a Blocklist feature that prevents certain contacts from sending you messages or scheduling appointments with your business.
Whether you need to block an individual phone number, an email address, or an entire domain, this feature ensures that unwanted or unauthorized contacts cannot contact or book services with you.
What is a Blocklist?
The Blocklist functionality allows you to:
- Prevent specific emails or phone numbers from sending you messages
- Block entire email domains to stop all users from a particular organization from sending you messages.
- Restrict individuals or groups from scheduling appointments with you.
How to Add Contacts to the Blocklist
- Navigate to Messaging tab in your Apptoto account.
- Select the Blocklist tab.
- If you want to block an email or an entire domain, add it to the “Email Blocklist” field.
- If you want to block a phone number, add it to the “Phone Blocklist” field.
- Click “Save.”
When to Use the Blocklist
The blocklist feature is useful for:
- Preventing spam or unwanted contacts from sending you messages
- Blocking problematic or fraudulent users from scheduling appointments.

If someone on your blocklist tries to book an appointment with you, they will receive the error “Sorry, your appointment limit has been hit” after they enter their information and click “Book Now.” They will not be allowed to book an appointment time with you or any of your staff members in your Apptoto account.
Yes, Apptoto offers “Stoplists” which are email addresses or phone numbers of contacts that have requested to no longer receive messages from you. Contacts may reply “STOP”, “END”, “QUIT”, or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to text messages, unsubscribe from emails, and dial “9” during call reminders to opt-out of appointment reminders from your business/Apptoto. Stoplists can be viewed via the “Messaging” > “Consent” tab.
